It is with great sadness that we announce that Club member and former Club President, Woody Kaplan, passed away on Monday, April 12, 2010. He was 71.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, May 8 at 11 AM at the Living Desert in Palm Desert..
At the request of the family, those wishing to remember Woody may make donations to the
Living Desert.
Woody was a a great photographer. He joined the Club in 1999. He was Club President in 2001 and 2002. He was instrumental in leading the Club into the digital age, and was a co-founder of DIPSIG. He was the goto person for many of us in helping us to acquire products at the cheapest price. And he was a total Mac evangelist!
He won many club photographic awards, including
the
First Place Advanced Print of the Year in 2003.
Above all, he was a great colleague and good friend.
Our hearts go out to his wife, Elaine, and their family.
