Shadows:
Shadows offer a wide variety of photographic possibilities.  Use you imagination and be creative!

The long shadows created in early morning and late afternoon are so pronounced and dramatic that they themselves can become subject for photographs.  When the sun is low in the sky, its light rakes across the landscape, creating long shadows that bring out textures.  Sometimes shapes are emphatically defined by crisp contrast between shadows and highlights.

Shadows cast by people, can also be intriguing.  They are expressive and familiar, and yet they are also anonymous because the figure casting the shadow could be anyone.

The moods shadows convey can be quietly evocative, or even ominous, or they can be playful, so look around you.  You may be amazed at what you’ll see!
